  • YesVideo's latest photo retailer solution to be demonstrated at PMA 2005.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - February 15, 2004 - YesVideoT, Inc. (www.yesvideo.com), the leader in digital media authoring, today introduced its new YesDVD Generator digital kiosk for high-speed, in-store transfers of photos and video clips from digital cameras to DVD. As the latest addition to the YesDVD Generator product line, the YesDVD Generator digital kiosk will provide photo retailers with the fastest speed and greater options for in-store transfers of photos and video clips from digital cameras to a Hollywood-style DVD. The digital kiosk will be demonstrated at YesVideo's booth #2071/2073 at PMA 2005 (Feb. 20-23, Orlando, FL).

"With the expansion of the YesDVD Generator product line, we're now able to provide photo retailers with the fastest photos-to-DVD transfer capability available on the market today," said Sai-Wai Fu, president and CEO of YesVideo. "With the YesDVD Generator digital kiosk, photo retailers now have an easy, affordable and timely way to upgrade their customers to a photo DVD, which is a clearly superior solution to a picture CD."

As the functions of digital cameras and camcorders are increasingly merging, consumers are looking for an easy and affordable way to store their digital photos and their digital video clips from their digital cameras, and to be able enjoy their memories on a DVD player in the living room. Until now, video from digital cameras was essentially "lost" since it was unable to be played on a TV with traditional photo CDs. Now for the first time with the introduction of the YesDVD Generator digital kiosk, both still images and video clips from a digital camera can be quickly and easily transferred in-store to a Hollywood-style DVD that will play on nearly any DVD player.

The YesDVD Generator digital kiosk enables digital photos and video clips from virtually any digital camera memory media, including CompactFlash, Memory Stick, SmartMedia, MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital, xD-Picture Card, USB or CD/DVD, to be saved as high resolution JPEGs and as MPEG2 slideshows with music. These slideshows incorporate both digital photos and digital video, to present all of the memories captured on a digital camera.

Small yet powerful, the performance of the YesDVD Generator digital kiosk system is exceptionally fast, with the ability to capture 50 customer orders per hour, which means customers won't need to wait for prolonged periods at the kiosk. Onscreen instructions and a simple touch-screen interface make the system consumer-friendly, and step-by-step order processing instructions makes it easy for store employees to process orders.

Development of the YesDVD Generator digital kiosk is based on YesVideo's extensive software development experience and expertise honed with its YesDVD outlab service, which is distributed by Kodak, Fuji, and Konica worldwide through a variety of retailers, including Walgreens, Target and Wal-Mart. Because the YesDVD Generator systems enable digital transfers to take place within the individual retail location, retailers can offer customers same-day service at a fraction of the cost of services offered by digital transfer specialists.

Making home videos and digital photos fun to watch and easy to search, key features of a YesDVD include: automatic intelligently created chapter scenes; onscreen chapter menu with thumbnail images representing each chapter; three music videos with highlights from the video set to music; and a unique custom DVD case coversheet with thumbnail images from each chapter of the video.

Availability
The YesDVD Generator digital kiosk will be made available to retailers and camera stores beginning in April 2005.
