Zoran And YesVideo Partner To Deliver DVD Video Authoring Capability For DVD Recorders
DVD Recorder Reference Platform with YesDVD to be Demonstrated at CES 2005
SUNNYVALE, Calif. - December 15, 2005 - Zoran Corporation (Nasdaq: ZRAN) and YesVideo, Inc. announced a partnership to integrate YesVideo's innovative YesDVD video authoring technology with Zoran's DVD Recorder reference platform to be demonstrated at CES 2005 in January.
Offering automatic DVD-Video authoring capability with Zoran's existing DVD recorder reference platform makes it easy for DVD recorder manufacturers to quickly deliver YesDVD video authoring capability as a differentiating feature on new DVD recorder models.

The Zoran/YesDVD solution enables DVD recorder users to quickly and easily create Hollywood-style DVDs from their home video footage, making home videos fun to watch and easy to search. With just the press of a button on the DVD recorder remote control, consumers can create YesDVDs with innovative features, including the following:
- Automatic intelligently created chapter scenes - The software automatically reads incoming video and determines logical points to create chapter scenes;
- Onscreen chapter menus - Scenes are indexed onscreen with the first clear image from each chapter of the on-screen viewing menu, making content easy to navigate;
- Music videos - The software intelligently selects the best scenes from the home video footage and sets them to theme music, for a fun way to enjoy highlights from the video;
- Custom DVD case coversheet - Each finished YesDVD includes a simple PC printing utility to enable the consumer to easily print a DVD case cover with thumbnail images from each chapter of the video.
DVD recorders enabled by the Zoran/YesDVD solution are expected to be available through retail channels by Q2 2005.
