Negative Transfer

What is the cost to transfer my negatives?

What negative formats can be transferred?

We are able to process the following processed negative formats: 35 mm, APS Film, 110/220 Film, 126 Instamatic Film, Large Negatives.

How many negatives will fit onto one USB or DVD?

There is no size limit on a USB order. In most cases, your entire order will be transferred to a single USB, but if your order exceeds our USB storage capacity, you will receive additional USBs at no additional charge. We are able to fit approximately 500 negative frames onto one DVD. We can only provide an estimate because image file sizes depend on the image details as images with more details will result in a larger file size.

What do I get with my Negative Transfer?

Your Negative Transfer includes a Digital Copy with MemoryCloud online access where you have the ability to view, download, and save the transferred video to Google Photos (available for 60 days after your order is processed). You also have the option to add a USB or DVD copy.

USB copies will contain the following:

12-megapixel JPEG image files of each negative frame

DVD copies will contain the following:

Slideshow movie of your images in the sequence requested (each image will be displayed for 7 seconds)
DVD chapters created at natural scene breaks
DVD case with thumbnail images of each chapter
Title, theme, and background music (if selected)
3 music video trailers (1 minute each)
12-megapixel JPEG image files of each negative frame

Will my original negatives be returned?

Your original negatives will be returned once your order has completed processing.

How do I prepare my negatives for processing?

If you would like your negatives to appear in a particular order:

Sort your negatives in preferred viewing order.
Group your negatives into bundles of 50.
Place each bundle of 50 negatives in an envelope or bag.
Number each envelope or bag in numeric order.

If you do not have a preferred sequence:

Group your negatives into bundles of 50.
Place each bundle of 50 negatives in an envelope or bag.
