Video Transfer

We are able to process the following videotape formats: VHS, S-VHS, Betamax, VHS-C, S-VHS-C, Hi-8, Digital8, Video8, DV, DVCAM, MiniDV, DVC; videotapes can be in NTSC or PAL formats.

There is no footage limit on USB copies. In most cases, your entire order will be transferred to a single USB, but if it exceeds our USB storage capacity, you will receive additional USBs at no additional charge. Each DVD can hold up to 2 hours of footage from 1 videotape.

Your Video Transfer includes a Digital Copy with MemoryCloud online access where you have the ability to view, download, and save the transferred video to Google Photos(available for 60 days after your order is processed). You also have the option to add a USB or DVD copy

USB copies will contain the following:
  • A MP4 video file of your digitally transferred videotape
  • Original audio from your videotape
DVD copies will contain the following:
  • Continuous play of the footage from your videotape
  • DVD chapters created at natural scene breaks
  • DVD case with thumbnail images of each chapter
  • Original audio from your videotape
  • Title and theme (if selected)
  • 3 music video trailers (1 minute each)
  • 80 JPEG still images taken from your footage

PAL tapes (the most common format in Europe and Asia) in VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, and Video8 videotapes can be transferred. There is no additional charge to transfer videotapes in a PAL format.

We are able to replace broken videotape cases, repair basic ribbon damage, and clean slight mold on a videotape with all transfers. If your videotape has extensive ribbon damage and excessive mold, we will send it back unprocessed.

Your original videotapes and cases will be returned with your completed order.
